Q. Are there any special requirements hiring a Canterbury Castle?

A. You must have a space available that will not risk contact with Sharp objects or trees. The bouncy castle runs on an electric blower, so we'll need to have access to an electrical socket within 30 metres of the castle.

We do ask that you provide clear access to the driveway of your home as the inflatables are sometimes difficult to manoeuvre.

Q How long does it take to set up?

 A. Around 10 - 15 minutes, depending on the site and the inflatable

Q How many children can use the inflatable at the one time?

A. This obviously varies by size of castle and of the children using it. 1.5M is the max height of child for all units currently supplied by Canterbury Castles. 6 or 7 X 1Metre children at one time.

 Q What happens if it rains on the day?

A. As we know weather can be changeable here in NZ. Heavy rain poses a potential risk due to slip hazards on a wet surface and of course electricity and water don’t mix.

All our bouncy castles have sun / shower covers provided, keeping the castle cool in Summer and for rainy days, they are terrific in keeping the castle dry for the occasional passing shower – however if it is raining at delivery time AND rain is set for the day we will not deliver - obviously no charge is made

Q. We Booked ages ago, do you ring to confirm?

A. Yes - we always ring 24 hrs before the Castle hire to confirm arrangements.

 Q How is payment made and when?

 A. Payment is on delivery of the castle. We do not currently take EFTPOS or credit cards - Preferred payment is by cash, although cheque will be accepted by prior arrangement.

Q. How long is the hire period?

A. Typically, the hire period is 4 hours long. . An 'Full day' hire is available for a small additional charge - but we do not leave castles out overnight.
